Review Authenticity

This page explains whether and how we verify that product reviews published in our online store originate from customers who have actually purchased the reviewed product.

1. Submission of Product Reviews

Product reviews in our online store may only be submitted by customers who have purchased the relevant product through our online store.

WooCommerce compares the reviewer’s customer account or email address with the order information stored in our shop system.

A review may be submitted as a verified-purchase review only where the system can associate the reviewer with a completed order containing the reviewed product.

2. Verified Owner Identification

Reviews originating from customers whose purchase has been confirmed through our WooCommerce order records are identified as:

“Verified owner”

This identification means that our shop system has associated the reviewer with an order for the reviewed product.

It does not mean that we independently verify:

  • how the customer used the product;
  • the customer’s individual experience;
  • every factual statement in the review;
  • medical, nutritional or scientific claims made by the reviewer.

Reviews express the individual opinion and experience of their respective authors.

3. How Authenticity Is Checked

We use the following measures to support the authenticity of reviews:

  • reviews are restricted to verified purchasers;
  • the reviewer’s details are compared with our WooCommerce order records;
  • the relevant product must be associated with the customer’s order;
  • reviews may be manually moderated before or after publication;
  • suspicious, duplicated, automated or clearly unrelated submissions may be investigated and rejected or removed.

These measures are intended to reduce the risk of reviews being submitted by persons who did not purchase the relevant product from our store.

They cannot guarantee that every statement contained in a review is objectively accurate.

4. Moderation of Reviews

Reviews may be moderated before or after publication.

A review may be rejected or removed where it contains, for example:

  • unlawful content;
  • insults, discrimination or threats;
  • spam or unauthorised advertising;
  • personal data relating to another person;
  • content unrelated to the reviewed product;
  • demonstrably false factual statements;
  • medical or health claims that cannot lawfully be published;
  • manipulated, automated or fraudulent content.

Positive and negative reviews are assessed according to the same moderation standards.

A review will not be rejected or removed merely because it is critical or gives the product a low rating.

We do not alter the meaning of customer reviews.

5. Reviews Concerning Food Supplements

Reviews relating to food supplements represent individual customer experiences and opinions.

Individual experiences may differ and cannot necessarily be transferred to other persons.

Customer reviews do not constitute:

  • medical advice;
  • a diagnosis;
  • a treatment recommendation;
  • a guarantee of particular results;
  • a scientifically confirmed health claim by Bioactiva Diagnostica GmbH.

Customers should consult an appropriately qualified healthcare professional regarding medical conditions, medication, pregnancy, breastfeeding or questions concerning the suitability of a food supplement.

6. Incentivised Reviews

We do not purchase fabricated reviews or commission reviews that falsely appear to be independent customer experiences.

Where a customer receives a benefit for submitting a review, such as a discount, free product or participation in a prize draw, this must be clearly disclosed alongside the review.

Any incentive must not depend on the review being positive.

7. External or Imported Reviews

The verification procedure described on this page applies to product reviews submitted directly through our WooCommerce online store.

If reviews from an external platform or another source are displayed, we will identify the relevant source and explain, where applicable:

  • how the external provider verifies reviews;
  • whether the reviewer’s purchase was verified;
  • whether all reviews or only a selection are displayed;
  • whether the review was incentivised.

Reviews must not be presented as verified WooCommerce purchases unless the relevant purchase has actually been confirmed through an appropriate verification procedure.
